Terms of Service
Effective June 8, 2026
Agreement
By accessing or using Sprucy (sprucy.org), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Sprucy is operated by Yeix.io. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Sprucy is
Sprucy is a community platform that helps neighbors organize projects, events, volunteers, and public improvements. Community content is created and managed by members and administrators — Sprucy provides tools to coordinate, not to act as a government agency, contractor, or official representative of any organization.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your account secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Sprucy.
- One person should not maintain multiple accounts to evade restrictions or mislead others.
Community conduct
You agree not to:
- Post unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or misleading content.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with an organization.
- Spam, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service or other users.
- Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems.
- Use Sprucy for commercial solicitation unrelated to genuine community initiatives.
Community moderators and administrators may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these rules or harm the community.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting on Sprucy, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the service (for example, showing your post in a community feed or including it in activity digest emails to members).
You represent that you have the right to post your content and that it does not infringe others' rights.
Community initiatives
Posts on Sprucy may describe community-supported initiatives inspired by local organizations. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these are not official partnerships with municipalities, nonprofits, or businesses. Volunteers participate at their own discretion. Organizers are responsible for obtaining any permits, approvals, or permissions required for their projects.
Donations and payments
Optional donations may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe or Patreon. Sprucy does not guarantee tax-deductible status of any contribution. Refunds and payment disputes are handled according to the applicable payment provider's policies. Project fundraising totals displayed on Sprucy reflect completed payments recorded through our integrations.
Service availability
We strive to keep Sprucy available and reliable, but we provide the service "as is" and "as available." We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or issues caused by factors outside our reasonable control.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sprucy is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yeix.io and Sprucy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Termination
You may stop using Sprucy at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if necessary to protect the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Alaska, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
